“Quei Due” @ Lincoln Jazz Week – Thursday 16th May

The jazz scene comes to Lincoln for its annual 9-day celebration of jazz music, this year including an appearance from an icon of British music: Georgie Fame.

In venues across Lincoln, including Doubletree by Hilton, the Lincoln Hotel and the LPAC, jazz artists, bands and experts will be performing, often for free!

Highlights include Midnight Masquerade, hosted by BBC Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior, Claire Martin & the Montpellier Cello Quartet and Georgie Fame & Sons

Saturday 11th May
Midnight Masquerade & GO-Jive, 6-9pm at the Lincoln Hotel, free event.

Sunday 12th May
Pete Johnson, 4pm at the Strugglers Inn, free event

Leeds College of Music has been a vibrant source of new music for over forty years now.

This year we feature six ensembles over two weeks to give you a taste of what’s new. The second week features some young jazz guitarists in various settings

Hi all,

Today is an exciting day, it’s the first of may, a wednesday and the sun is shining (a bit). But that is not why I am excited. Tonight I will be performing with my trio Aeroplanes At Brescia at the Leeds College of music Gala Concert. That isn’t even the most exciting bit, the whole concert will be streamed live! So, if you’re in a different part of the world or just enjoy the comfort of your sofa then fear not, the music is coming to you! See you tonight from 7pm, we will be playing in the second half but I urge you to check out all of the other great musicians in the concert.
