I thought I would do a post about Quei Due’s recent gig at Cafe Lento.
First of all, what a great venue! I walked in and they were playing Jim Hall…instantly got my approval.
Run by Richard and his partner, a lovely pair who are incredibly enthusiastic about live music. You can find a link to their site with upcoming events etc. here. http://cafelento.co.uk/
The audience were great as well. Constantly listening and engaging, it was a real treat to play for people like that.
It was also a great opportunity for me to road test the new axe!
For the guitarists, it is a Godin SD and I would recommend ANYONE to get one. And the reason I highlighted that word is that I mean any player from any style will find that this guitar can really deliver. It gave me superb playability with the 24-fret neck but also great tone with the godin pickups. They are also obscenely cheap for how fantastic they are, check them out!
All in all, a great night and a gig that showed me again why I’m doing this crazy thing.
