“Exploration no.1″ Performed and Composed by Adam Taylor

This piece was written as part of the “Exploration” suite, a trilogy of pieces including pieces written for Solo classical guitar, solo electric guitar w/effects and four guitars. The suite explores various extended techniques, structural concepts and sonic possibilities involved with the guitar. “Exploration no.1″ is a piece written for solo classical guitar. The piece explores the concept of the open strings and the consonances and dissonances that arise from their application.

If you would like further information on the theories and concepts behind this composition, feel free to e-mail me: adamztaylormusic@gmail.com

The suite was written for my final year composition module at Leeds College of Music (BA jazz).
